Hostess Made It Bearable! 09/30/2007
Maybe today was just a bad day for my wife and I to have dinner at M & S but having reservations for two (2) for 6:00 pm and not being seated until an hour later really leaves our first M&S experience with a lot to be desired. Even after being seated, there was poor service as the hostess ( Chantel ?) really served as our waiter. Had it not been for this young lady taking our order and then following up by actually bringing our order, I do believe that this anniversary celebration would have been a total disaster. The entrees didn't make us forget about the extremely long wait and the poor service.
Friendly Service ,Great Food 07/04/2007
The service was excellent. The food was presented in a timely manner. It was the most exciting dining experience that I've had in a long time!! I wanna have my wedding reception there!!!!
Excellent Service 04/06/2007
We had our Managers Dinner there April 4th. Food was excellent as well at the service. Our waiter kept us well entertained. Thank you "Silvia St. James"!
good food & service 05/17/2005
My Mother & I ate here one early evening while visiting the Inner Harbor. The caesar salad was very good, and the crab rangoons appetizer was delicious. The drink we had (the Arnold Palmer = a mixture of iced tea & lemonade) was good and our entrees of halibut & albacore tuna were wonderful. Our waiter, Robert, was very good and attentive, knowing alot about the menu. I would definitely dine here again.

Our Special Place 12/15/2004
My husband and I have come here 4 times, all special occasions such as the night of his proposal and our anniversaries. We come here on special occasions because we feel this restaurant is the best! Never a complaint! Beautiful woodwork and chandeliers, fantastic service (always given a little something extra when we mention our special celebration) and the only thing we have a problem with is making up our mind what to order. It's all soooo good! You only need to order 1 dessert - they are all large enough to share! We've never been disappointed! The only negative which isn't the restaurant's fault is that the parking lot, although very convenient, is quite pricey, even when you get your ticket validated at the restaurant. Take your loved one there! Hopefully, you'll have many fine memories as we do!

So Disappointed! 06/30/2004
I had been to this McCormick & Schmicks once before, but was sadly disappointed this week. The only reason the rating is even 2 stars, is because I'd had a good experience there in the past. This time our waiter was awful! The food took forever and was cold when it arrived. (Mediocre taste at best.) He brought me the wrong dish altogether and ignored us the rest of the time. Then he overcharged me, by leaving the incorrect entree on the bill. The desserts were the only redeeming part. Don't even talk to me about parking....after staying there for drinks and then a ridiculously long dinner, because of our poor service, we ended up with an $18 parking bill! Too bad....they used to be good.
Never Again 04/29/2004

I selected this restaurant to celebrate my father's birthday based on the web's review/description under Local Dining. It was for a party of 7. To begin with, the parking area was directly in front of the restaurant...which was a plus, especially since it was cold that night. We were seated immediately at our table. Alittle disappointing to us that they placed us at this small table, were the seating was cramp. The seats were so close that you could eat out of your neighbors plate. I spoke with the waiter in regards to moving us to a larger table. The manager, I assume he was, immediately handled the situation...did not appear to be burdened by the arrangement...so that was definitely a huge plus in my book. The tables were nicely spaced apart, the waiter was very attentive and in good spirits. Our new table was EXTREMELY nice and roomy. The service was EXCELLENT, and the foods presentation & taste was SUPERB!! I had the blackened salmon topped with crab imperial, steamed vegetables and wild rice....and an apple-walnut pie topped with ice cream which was to die for. My father thoroughly enjoyed himself. I highly recommend this restaurant.
