Dish up a little romance at this ultra-stylish bistro, formerly a 1950s-era gas station. Oversized appetizers and entrees are ideal for sharing with a significant other; at night, dish is packed with couples tucking into cuisine including lobster lasagna and duck l'orange. Whet your appetite with the eatery's trademark rosemary pine nut popcorn (just make sure that this nutty concoction is completely removed from your teeth if you plan to do any smooching later on). Dish's interior is intimate and eye-catching, with whitewashed brick walls, an array of tropical plants and a diminutive metal bar surrounded by black and white photos that are a good conversation piece for tongue-tied first daters. The outdoor patio offers a bird's-eye view of Gen Xers and yuppies doing the pub-crawl down Highland Avenue, yet another source of conversation for daters who need a little banter assistance. The menu is brief with an emphasis on seafood and fowl; a few vegetarian options are also available. For such a style-packed bistro, the prices are surprisingly reasonable.
