Put on your red dress, baby, and you may just disappear here, what with the red walls, red chairs and red lights serving as backdrop. At home in a three-story, turn-of-the-century Midtown house, redesigned by architect whiz Patti Krohngold, Cherry offers what it calls "globally influenced comfort food," though Asian cuisine dominates the menu. Lunch on sandwiches or noodle bowls, sushi and nigiri, seafood paella or steak churrasco. The dinner menu, sans sandwiches, is similar, and true seafood fans will want to try the sizzling whole fish entree, flash-fried and served over stir-fried Asian vegetables with a chili-ponzu dipping sauce. For dessert, who can pass up the roasted-banana cheesecake or the white chocolate bread pudding, with vanilla and berry sauces, dried cherries and vanilla ice cream? Comfort food, indeed. As Cherry has three bars, you might just choose to drop by for a drink. The wine list is extensive, and $4.75 vodka martinis are served seven days a week. On Sundays, a selection from the wine list is offered at half price.

High Energy, Big Fun

Dinner at Cherry starts in one of the most onteresting looking places in Atlanta. You can tell that the owners lavished attention to the details in the decor and that attention to detail goes into the whole experience. Our server was upbeat and very knowledgable about the menu. Our food was fabulous, the sushi was first rate with perfect rice and very fresh fish. The best part of the place to me was meeting the owners who came to the table several times to be sure that we were having a great experience. Finally though you have to have the bread pudding. All I can say is WOW it is a fitting denoument to a great dining experience.

I just started working in Atlanta and have had dinner, cocktails or appetizers at Cherry several times over the last few months. What a great place for almost any occasion. The food is great, the service attentive and the atmosphere is full of energy. Don't miss the Cherry Bomb Roll from the sushi bar it is outstanding.
