From the Editors
Consistently voted one of the best places in the ATL to take (or meet) a date, Martinis & IMAX is like several swanky events in one. For those just looking to grab a drink and perhaps a quick bite to eat before heading out for a night on the town, there's a wine bar where featured wines can be purchased by the glass or bottle, dinner in the Dining Room, and a full cash bar and live music in the museum's impressive Great Hall. For those who also want to take in a movie, there are several IMAX films shown every hour on the hour, from 6 to 10PM. There's no cover charge before 6:30PM for those who just want to immerse themselves in the cultured atmosphere, but the $10 IMAX ticket allows you to waive the $5 cover. For just $7 more, you can also enjoy evening viewing hours of the museum's latest exhibit.
Note: Tickets for IMAX movies are $10. The happy hour event is open to the public, but there is a charge of $5 for those arriving after 6:30PM.
