Once Atlanta's infamous Gold Club shut down after a trial that featured lurid tales of strippers and famous sports stars such as Patrick Ewing, Dennis Rodman and even Atlanta Braves centerfielder Andruw Jones, the void was quickly filled by The Cheetah, which now serves as the city's most popular gentlemen's club. An Atlanta fixture for more than 30 years, The Cheetah is an upscale club that attracts everyone from out of town businessmen and rock stars to locals with money to burn. Most of the money is ignited by the Cheetah Girls, who strut their stuff onstage, in front of three, 110'' high-definition televisions showing sporting events, and in several VIP rooms. The Cheetah even operates an upscale restaurant inside the club, Alluvia, which specializes in USDA Prime steaks, seafood, chops, pasta and a variety of salads, appetizers, soups, and desserts. There are also wine tastings and catwalk lessons held at The Cheetah, which tends to bring out a fair share of female patrons.
