Great food! I've only been there for lunch, but it is my favorite place to go for lunch

I have to be honest. I used to venture this cafe once per week for dinner, from 1992-1997 when it used to be located on 5th avenue. I stopped going there after all the good chefs quit! Not sure what or who they hired after that, but the quality and presentation level dropped horribly after the regular chefs I grew accustom with had left. After Sacks moved to G street, I ventured another few visits. Much to my surprise the atmosphere was fascinating and quite interesting, but the food was dull, bland and boring. If Sacks ever reads this board I would tell them to go out and hire a "real" chef or find the one you used to have, your cuisine needs help! Want something new and exciting try the new grill in Eagle River, The Quarter House Grill! They serve up the type of food Sack's used too! It was great!

They are now located on G Street, not 5th. Ave.

GREAT atmosphere for a night out w/ friends, it was a lot of fun, excellent service from some really great people!
