There's nothing like a Chinese lunch buffet to fill your belly. If you're hungry again 15 minutes after you finish your first plate, then just go back up there and load it up again. Szechuan Chinese Restaurant has one of the best buffets in Erie (11:30am-2pm). For under six bucks you can eat General Gou's chicken 'til your stomach cries, "at ease, soldier!" The average dinner plate runs around $8-$10. Order a Volcano from the bar, because everyone deserves a drink with an umbrella in it now and again. For the little ones there's a children's menu featuring smaller portions and the option of substituting french fries for rice (sure to be appreciated by the picky eaters of the family). There's plenty of seating for large groups, but reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. Smoking is allowed in part of the restaurant. Stop in Monday through Thursday, 11:30am to 9pm, and Friday and Saturday 'til 11:30pm.
